Beloved by and associated with the hula deities, the ohia lehua is the symbol of Hooulu: The inspiration of Hula. This exhibition presents the hula-inspired and hula-related relocatable and commissioned works in the Art in Public Places Collection, along with objects on loan from Biship Museum, Hula Preservation Society, visual artist Solomon Enos, and kapa makers Moana eisele and Kaiulani De Silva. Opening reception Friday, Sept 4, 2009 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Museum Hours: Tues-Sat 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Admission Free.
